Why Giving Back Matters to Me
This 10-year milestone for Georgette Marise Interiors is not just about celebrating my journey as a designer—it’s also about honoring the people and experiences that have shaped me. That’s why I’ve chosen to give back to three incredible organizations whose missions deeply resonate with my own story.
Project Refit – Supporting Those Who Serve
As the wife of a veteran who has proudly served in both the United States Marine Corps and the United States Air Force, and who continues to serve as a first responder, I’ve seen firsthand the challenges our service members face. The sacrifices they make, both seen and unseen, often come with struggles that many don’t talk about. Project Refit provides veterans and first responders essential mental health support and resources, ensuring they have the tools and community they need to thrive beyond their service.
Prodigy Peacebuilders – Creating a More Peaceful Future
I have always been an advocate for peace resolution, believing that communication, understanding, and education can change lives. Prodigy Peacebuilders equips youth, families, and communities with the tools to foster peace and social change. Their mission aligns with my belief that when we invest in building stronger, more empathetic communities, we create a ripple effect of positive transformation.
The Chrysalis Initiative – A Tribute to My Mother
This organization holds a very special place in my heart. My late mother, Marise, was a fighter, but she lost her battle with breast cancer. Watching her go through that journey was one of the hardest things I’ve ever experienced. The Chrysalis Initiative is doing critical work to close the gaps in breast cancer care and outcomes, particularly for Black women and other disparate groups. Supporting their mission is my way of honoring my mother’s legacy and ensuring that more women receive the care and resources they deserve.
This anniversary isn’t just about reflecting on the past—it’s about using this moment to create real impact. By attending, sponsoring, or donating, you’re not only celebrating a decade of design but also helping to support veterans, first responders, peace initiatives, and breast cancer patients.
Thank you for being part of this journey with me. Your support means more than you know.
